EMRB Business Continuity Measures & COVID-19

In response to the risks associated with the COVID-19 virus, Alberta Health has recommended a number of public health measures to reduce the risk of contracting and spreading the virus.

Effectively immediately, EMRB will be suspending all in-person meetings of the Board, Task Forces and Working Groups for the next two weeks. Where possible, EMRB will facilitate virtual meetings and videoconferencing to mitigate meeting disruption. EMRB staff will advise members of the Board, stakeholders and the public of rescheduled meetings as details are available.

Cancelled meetings include:
  • ITRMP Task Force - March 13
  • RAMP Working Group - March 18
  • SISB Working Group - March 19
  • EMRB Special Board Meeting - March 27
Unless advised otherwise, we will prepare for both the April 2 and 3 Special Board Meeting, and the April 9th Regular Board Meeting as we would normally. We will be working in-house and with our consultants to arrange for videoconferencing options going forward.

The health and safety of our members, staff, stakeholders and our regional community is our highest priority.

The Office of Alberta’s Chief Medical Officer of Health has indicated the current risk of Albertans contracting COVID-19 is low. We will continue to monitor the situation and will communicate with member municipalities on further business continuity and resumption measures. This new meeting protocol will remain in place until further notice.

Thank you for your cooperation and patience as we adjust the way we work.
