Reflecting on a comprehensive overview of metro serving in the region re: Water, Wastewater, Stormwater, Transportation, Transit, Solid Waste and Emergency (Fire) services, the Task Force responsible for creating a new regional servicing plan today began determining how and where to fill possible gaps.

The MRSP (Metropolitan Region Servicing Plan) Task Force, led by Chair, Mayor Ray Ralph endorsed and will recommend its Environmental Scan to the EMRB for information, and used a Workshop format to discuss a course of action based on:
  1. What are we trying to achieve regionally?
  2. What are the opportunities for better understanding the service areas and collaboration at the regional level?
After discussing each service area, Task Force members made recommendations for priorities, which will shape future phases of work: a Needs Assessment, and a Gap Analysis / Opportunities report toward the final Metropolitan Region Servicing Plan.
