Stewarding our Natural Assets

Responsible growth means that we are maximizing the use of existing and planned infrastructure,
promoting the health of our watersheds, airsheds, and environmentally sensitive areas. This also means embedding a climate resiliency lens across regional initiatives as part of responsible growth.

Together, our efforts can make a lasting impact on the well-being of our Region and the sustainability
of our natural resources.

From Risk to Resilience - climate resilience study

Conducting a climate risk assessment equips the Region with a comprehensive understanding of our most critical climate impacts.

This knowledge allows the Board to understand the adaptation actions, learn how to avoid or reduce key risks, and seize opportunities at both local and regional levels.

By collectively engaging as a Region in these actions, we can propel ourselves toward a more resilient future, enhancing environmental, social, and economic opportunities - driving significant change for our collective future.
